Have you ever tried to read the Bible but just couldn't get through it? Well, if so, this podcast is for you. We've taken the Bible, the whole Bible and nothing but the Bible, and reduced it to its core, leaving nothing out - except for the boring parts that no one is interested in, and no one needs to know about. It is, in fact, the Bible in fewer words. So join Carole and Steve Wells as they present the Bible in a way its never been presented before.

#296: 1 Peter 1-5 | The devil wants to eat you

The author claims to be the apostle Peter, but most scholars think it was forged. Illiterate, Aramaic-speaking, first century, Galilean Jews didn't write fancy letters in Greek.

There are a few things in First Peter that should be of interest. Slavery is approved in 2:18, women are insulted in 3:1-7, believers are told not to run away from skeptics in 3:15 - and the devil wants to eat you (5:8).

And, above all things, love one another. Because love covers a multitude of sins. (4:8)
