I recently had the opportunity to interview Bishop Randy Borders, a prominent leader in the black church community. Our discussion centered around the topics of leadership, mentorship, and spiritual fathers. Bishop Borders has been a leader in the church for over 30 years and has served as a mentor to countless individuals during that time. He emphasized the importance of strong, ethical leadership in the church and the need for leaders to be committed to their communities and congregations. We also discussed the concept of mentorship and the role of spiritual fathers in the black church. Bishop Borders spoke passionately about the need for younger generations to seek out older, wiser individuals to guide and advise them on their spiritual journeys. He emphasized that spiritual fathers are not only a source of wisdom and advice, but also provide a sense of accountability and support. Overall, my conversation with Bishop Randy Borders was both enlightening and inspiring.
