In honor of Mother's Day and my favorite month of the year MAY, I have dedicated a 3-part series to Black mothers to share their experiences of navigating sex and mental health as a mother, their journeys to motherhood, and words of encouragement for all women nurtures.
In the first part of the mini-series, I sit down with Jasmine Boudah, the Black Lotus Mother, wombman, doula, yoni-steam facilitator, published author...and the list goes on. This is an AMAZING conversation about Black mothering from a raw, open, and healing space. Jasmine recounts her journey to motherhood through generational trauma, domestic violence, PTSD, and asexuality.
She shares excerpts from her book "Mothering Through Pain and Suffering in Silence"; a collection of black women's personal experiences of motherhood; truly illuminating the struggles that many Black mothers face but seldomly share. You don't want to miss this!!!
