This is a podcast dedicated to walking through the books of the Bible that many have called boring, books like Leviticus, Numbers, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, the Psalms and many more! These books often get overlooked when pastors are searching for a new Sermon idea or topic and so we've developed this podcast to help pastors and students alike learn more about these incredibly rich texts that frankly don't have the page turning appeal we are used to reading. Join Noah Randolph, teaching pastor at Wayfarers Christian Church, as he explores these books one chapter at a time.

Psalm 29 - The Storm (Voice) of God

Join us this episode as Noah tackles a difference facet of God. In this psalm God's voice is described as a terrible storm starting over the waters of the sea before hitting land and causing premature births in animals, shattering trees, and impacting the psalmist with feelings of gravitas. Noah spends a lot of time discussing the wonder that storms can create, comparing that to the wonder of human invention and technology. He discusses how both have strengths and weaknesses. Nature is wild and dangerous while technology can be easily assumed to possess all the answers to human safety. Noah discusses how this picture of God reframes even the previous two psalms to balance both the dangerous and unpredictable and the reliable and secure. Strap in yet again as we dive into this beautiful psalm!
