Episode 028: Everything in nature has seasons--including you.  But the way we work and think about productivity isn't consistent with our nature.

I love this quote from Kate Northrup's book Do Less: "The way we work in our culture is as though we're in a perpetual harvest.  But anyone who's grown anything in the earth knows that this is impossible." Expecting the same level of energy, intensity and output from month to month, week to week, or day to day is unrealistic and harmful--and yet we do it anyway because that's what we have been taught.
