Mercedes Lander, drummer of Canadian heavy metal legends Kittie joins us as we dive deep into the band’s incredible journey, from their ground-breaking debut album Spit that shook the metal world when they were just teenagers, to their powerful return with the brand new EP Spit XXV - celebrating 25 years of the debut album.
Mercedes takes us back to the early days of Kittie and how the band made waves at only 15 years old, the evolution of their sound into something even heavier after Spit, and the reasons behind the return from their 13-year hiatus with a triumphant comeback in 2022. We also explore the making of Spit XXV, why Kittie wanted to re-record four classic songs from their debut album, the process behind choosing and recording them, and what this release means for the band’s future.
Also this week, Tom introduces us to a brand new bizarre hybrid sport called 'Brave Ball' which mixes boxing and football together, and we break down the unnecessary outrage over Bad Bunny being announced as the Superbowl halftime show performer.
