Influence is powerful! Especially in this day and time when social media is prevalent and everyone is striving to have influence through it. People seem to trust other people who appear to have influence in one way or another. And the outcome can be positive or negative. My personal philosophy in regards to this notion is that influence is just another word or euphemism for control - or power.
