Welcome to episode #254 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we start off with how season 1 has been coming along for us so far, and how we have been avoiding burnout in this game. Every year we see people play nonstop at the beginning of the year, only to then fall off towards the end of the year and barely play. With the support multiplayer has gotten and with ranked play rumored to be coming in season 2, we share our opinions on why we haven’t felt burned out, and what we are looking forward to working on when ranked is released. Finally, we close with a discussion around the challengers scene for competitive COD. Many new names are surfacing, and people are claiming that some of these players are the next superstars in the CDL. We give our thoughts on challengers right now, the growth it’s been experiencing, and if we think some of these players will make their debut this season.
What are your thoughts on COD burnout? Do you usually experience it, and if not, what do you do to keep yourself busy playing? Are you staying motivated knowing that ranked play is coming out? Finally, what do you think about the next class of professional players? Will we see these top amateurs make their debut this year, or will they have to wait? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.
