The Conversations in the dark Podcast

In this podcast, I delve into heavy topics that have often been sidelined in the African society, particularly Ghana where I live. In these episodes, I have conversations with people living with first-hand experiences of issues ranging from bi-polar disorders to Africans indulging in sham marriages abroad in hopes of finding a better life. My goal for this project is for people to find hope in their dark corners, to instigate paradigm shifts and to share the heroic stories of a few people in their own words.

S3 EP7 Part 2 : A Conversation on Colourism with Maame Fosua Akonnor

Being a dark-skinned lady, Maame Fosua's journey has been different. For the most part, she felt like there was something wrong with her and that she did not belong in a world that was made for the "light-skinned".

She talks to us about her experiences with Colourism even to her lowest point dealing with this cancer that has plagued our societies.

"In a world where you can be anything, Be Kind".
