A Quick Update: We'll Be Back Next Week With a New Episode
My father, Mike Myers, a lifetime small business owner, a serial entrepreneur, passed away over the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday. It was unexpected and we are grieving. He was a very, very strong supporter of small business. Always the one to shop local and always supporting the family-run businesses in his community. And my own entrepreneurial journey and this project. Are influenced by what I learned from him. And over the last week, our family has received so many messages of support. So many memories. Saying things like: my father gave them a vehicle to start a landscaping business or gave them a loan to chase a dream. He gave them a chance when they otherwise couldn't find employment because of a barrier they were facing. He was the kind of person who was really passionate about how one could use business to make an impact on their community. He was very supportive of my business and of this project. And because of the feelings that I've been processing over the last couple of days, I've been unable to give the next episode, the time and attention that I like to. I don't think it would be fair to you as the listener. Or to my guests to release under these circumstances. Because our next guest is someone who I really admire and I really enjoyed the interview and I want to give her story the time and the attention that it deserves. So we will be back next week with another entrepreneur using business to create a better world and I hope you'll be back next week to follow along with her story. In the meantime, if you are enjoying this podcast, please consider sharing it with a friend or leaving us a rating and a review, because that helps us spread the word about the project and about brands who are truly making a difference. And giving a voice to impact entrepreneurs is truly a passion of mine. And I will be forever grateful. In memory of Michael Peter Myers. My dad. Until next week.
