Sir Ian Rankin and the cast of Rebus, and BAFTA film-makers Kevin & Andrew Macdonald on the films of Powell and Pressburger

The BBC's new Rebus series lands on BBC iPlayer and telly so creator of the iconic Edinburgh detective Ian Rankin tells all about it, along with award-winning playwright and screenwriter Gregory Burke who has re-imagined the novels for screen, and the stars of the show – Outlander’s Richard Rankin and Line of Duty’s Lucie Shorthouse.

Made In England- The Films of Powell and Pressburger. Emeric Pressburger’s grandsons Oscar-winning filmmaker Kevin Macdonald (High & Low: John Galliano, The Last King of Scotland, One Day in September) and producer Andrew Macdonald (Trainspotting, The Beach, Shallow Grave, Ex Machina and A Life Less Ordinary) discuss the film. Narrated and presented by Martin Scorsese and directed by two-time BAFTA and Emmy-award-winning David Hinton, the film is Scorsese’s homage to two of his biggest cinematic inspirations, Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger.
