Coming from a 12step background I’ve always enjoyed the part that we get to share our truth but not everyone is from a 12step group, in fact I no longer am. I was inspired by this movie called “Thanks for Sharing”, based on 12step meetings. Ever since I watched it I wanted to create the same thing myself but based on my own, as they say, experience, strength and hope. A place where vulnerability is more valued than in other media spaces. This podcast will be based on my life and the lives of others that will appear on the show. I speak about me which will include, but not limited to, sex work.

Best quote from one of my favorite movies Good Will Hunting (though hard to pick just one) is when he talks about his job opportunity working for the NSA. I wonder if Good Will was a play on words. Like hunting for God’s will when you have free will it’s a tough call to make as to what to do and still survive. I don’t have the answer but I think about this predicament all the time.

I also speak about our #dating climate and how #competition is worse for serious #relationships and #monogamy bc if you decide to just join the many girls online and stay single and independent,,,then if a man gets bored and moves on there’s always another dude anyway but the same thing doesn’t apply if you want just one dude’s attention(good luck) and want something real; significant. So that’s basically where we’re at. The old way of #marriage didn’t work either bc if it did we wouldn’t have the high divorce rates. With more time I think styles of relating will change but how much worse or better is really up to us.
I also #follow ppl who speak about #deepcoding #deepcodes and feel a belief so visceral that it is not a good idea to take from a woman or from the feminine. There’s deep wound from the feminine that has made it known it’s hurting. The same way we have taken from trees to use for lumbar. The extracting process is very damaging for the long term too. I could speak more about this but i don’t want to get too #controversial
There was also an older man walking with his dog and for whatever reason it made me cry. I guess the simplicity of their relationship was splendid I don’t know what else to say. The dog was wandering on his own bc leashes aren’t required and the man’s body was large and this small dog was disproportionately charming I can’t really explain that either. But something about knowing that this is their routine and how much I wanted a slower paced life. (Something I tried to make happen in Hawaii and failed). This was at a bench I decided to sit on mid-way going home because there are so many places to sit that aren’t necessarily parks and definitely not the same as the bus stops. New York doesn’t have this where you can just find a place to sit and rest. They’re everywhere here even major intersections which are also un chaotic. I’m not even a dog person I know the whole world is but not me, sorry to say. ME:
