The Department in Conversation, Episode 10 with Lianne Tomfohr

This is a series of recorded conversations to continue to build community and cohesion within the Department of Community Health Sciences at the University of Calgary. Sharing knowledge about different components of the Department, the faculty and students within and the broader academic life.

This episode will focus on Lianne Tomfohr Madsen, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and cross-appointed with Community Health Sciences. Lianne's research focuses on identifying relationships between physical health and psychosocial variables. This discussion will focus on kindness and compassion. We hope to shed light on helping faculty understand how kindness and compassion affects others and ourselves, highlight need to practice kindness and compassion, and highlight Lianne’s work planting the seed for possible collaboration with CHS faculty members.
