We are excited to be sharing the stories of Amherstburg and its rich heritage. Did you know that properties on Dalhousie St. date back to 1798 and tell the stories of the people and events that make our history so vibrant? With this podcast, we will be sharing these stories of Amherstburg to listeners as a convenient tool, and learn the history of our buildings and the stories of the previous, and also present owners and tenants of these special places. We are hoping to preserve the heritage and history of Amherstburg for generations to come. Did you know Amherstburg was once the frontier of Upper Canada? A powerhouse location for land and a mecca for trade and economics. From bootlegging to our influence on pop-culture and politics, we look forward to knocking on the doors of Amherstburg’s past and sharing these stories with you.
