Dr.Roth spoke to the program students about his professional experiences and gave valuable advice on how to deal with what’s known as “White Tile Syndrome’’. Meaning those times, often in the middle of the night and you’re in the operating room and things aren’t going to plan? You look behind you for help and all you see is White Tiles because nobody is there to help you - So…what do you do? Dr.Roth’s advice to the plastic surgery program students was to pause and ask yourself “what would DR. Mathias, what would Dr. Hoffmann do, what would Dr.Asher do, what would Dr. Rosenfeld do? Remember to emulate the training you received. Dr.Roth goes on to share the many reasons he loves to attend this symposium and how it keeps him abreast of the recent developments, especially in micro-surgery, nerve reanimation, and the use of Acellular dermal matrix (ADM) for breast reconstruction. Of course this is just a few of the many positive new useful medical procedures that are coming down the pipeline every day.
