Key Learnings

Everyone wants to fly fast when they first get a drone, but SLOW DOWN if you want cinematic footage
Understanding drone maneuvers can be tough because it's not intuitive how to control a drone. Start by LOOKING AT THE BUTT and having your drone face away from you (so when you tell it to go left, it goes left ... instead of MIRRORING you and doing the opposite)
Don't forget to CAPTURE your first flight! Make sure you have a micro SD card in your drone and don't forget to take a photo or video to capture it
If you're interested in flying FPV drones like the DJI Avata, it's not like flying a regular drone. Regular drones are like driving cars. Flying FPV is like getting into a space rocket. Start with simulators (there are many free ones such as the DJI simulator on iphone, or Liftoff or DLC online).
