Indigenous Knowledge, Climate Change and Traditional Drumming with Algonquin First Nation, Danka Brewer !

Hi Everyone !

Welcome to this special episode of the ENVCast! This episode is in collaboration with the Coffee and Geography Podcast, Decolonising Geography and UEA Project Change.

In this episode I am joined by Danka Brewer who is Algonquin First Nation, Elder and one of the Strongest Knowledge Holders.

The episode begins with a beautiful introduction of Danka in her traditional language. Then proceeds to discuss climate change impacts on the land (water and rice ), significance of drumming, importance of working with nature and how science is behind indigenous knowledge, listening to elders and ends with an amazing water song!

This episode was truly one of my favorites to record as it touches on something that I value , bringing indigenous knowledge in the climate dialogue. It was an honour to speak to Danka.

I hope you guys enjoy the episode.Share and subscribe !
