Wales spends around £28 billion on public services - almost a third of its GDP. Despite this many public bodies are struggling to meet demand for services and remain financially sustainable. New approaches are urgently needed and in episode one, Adrian reflects on the resilience shown during the pandemic. A dreadful time for so many, but a period that showed the best of public services, united around common goal and operating with the flexibility, pace and collaboration that should become the standard.
