11-23-25 - The God Beyond Our Expectations
The readings for this week for the Christ the King/ Reign of Christ Sunday are Jeremiah 23:1-6, Luke 1:68-79, or  Psalm 46, with Colossians 1:11-20, and Luke 23:33-43.  This week we talk about species that have been rediscovered after being "extinct".  This is often due to lack of funding or the lack of really knowing the species super well to be able to find them.  This leads us to God surprising us and usually we need to be willing to wonder and explore and see how God shows up in those times.  Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful. Remember to answer this week's question: Where are you searching for God, and how are you searching for God? #FaithandSciPod If you're wanting to hear other podcasts on these texts check out:  11-17-19 - How Faith is Important to Religion and Science11-20-22 - Present vs. Future Control I look forward to all of your feedback,Tyler Bublitz Music used in the podcast:March On by Silent PartnerPorches and Universes by Puddle of Infinity Social Media:X: @FaithandSciPodFacebook Group: Faith and Science Podcast GroupFacebook Company Page: The Faith and Science PodcastLinkedIn: Faith and Science PodcastEmail: thefaithandsciencepodcast@gmail.com YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@FaithandSciPod References:The Green Blades Preaching Roundtable (Weekly) or Green Blades Rising Publications (Monthly) reach out to ecofaith@nemnsynod.org and say which you would like to sign up for! - https://nemnsynod.org/ecofaith-network/    https://www.ecofaithnetwork.org/https://allsaints-pas.org/fun-facts-to-know-and-tell-about-christ-the-king-sunday/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feast_of_Christ_the_Kinghttps://www.rewild.org/lost-species/lost-species-foundhttps://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/etimes/trending/rediscovery-of-moema-claudiae-a-second-chance-for-a-lost-fish-species-and-its-fragile-bolivian-habitat/articleshow/125361048.cmshttps://jor.pensoft.net/article/144016/https://www.birdlife.org/news/2025/09/10/glimmer-of-hope-sought-after-lost-bird-rediscovered-in-india/https://www.earth.com/news/elusive-bird-night-parrot-pezoporus-occidentalis-thought-extinct-100-years-rediscovered/https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/rare-and-elusive-australian-bird-once-thought-extinct-for-100-years-discovered-by-indigenous-rangers-and-scientists-180985143/https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Ivory-billed_Woodpecker/lifehistoryhttps://www.fws.gov/species/ivory-billed-woodpecker-campephilus-principalishttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ob80Cfo9T8https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZhRuo1CPq8https://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/deep-jungle-new-frontiers-introduction/1369/
