In "Mean Wheels Mantis," Deviot sends Motor Mantis, a speed-obsessed monster, to attack Terra Venture. After transforming Kendrix and Maya into trophies, Motor Mantis challenges the Rangers to a motorcycle race for their return. Leo, Kai, and Damon accept, but Mantis cheats, incapacitating Kai and Damon, and ultimately winning against Leo. Driven by guilt, Leo connects with the Lion Galactabeast, learning about his Astro Cycle's hidden power. He challenges Mantis to a rematch, wagering his Quasar Saber. Through focus and remembering his friends, Leo unlocks the Red Capsular Cycle, surpassing Mantis's speed and winning. He destroys Motor Mantis, freeing Kendrix and Maya, and later combines his Galactabeasts to form the Galaxy Megazord and Condor Galactazord and destroys him once again.
