Your attitude of confidence and trust in God’s plan during times of suffering is a witness to those who observe you. What suffering God does not remove, He intends for us to bear by applying the Word of God. God will never give you more than you can handle. Suffering never leaves a Christian as it found him. Suffering can be a warning you are in prolonged carnality. “Grievous punishment is for him who forsakes the way; he who hates reproof will die” (Prov 15:10). Suffering for blessing is designed to advance you by putting muscle on your spiritual life. The Apostle Paul wrote, “After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you” (1 Pet 5:10). You are never to complain about adverse circumstances. We are to celebrate our tribulation. “Knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance” (Rom 5:3).
