Welcome back to The G Spot! In this episode, host Grace Alice is joined by the bright and brilliant comedian and actor Justine Stafford for a no-holds-barred conversation about growing up in rural Ireland, surviving Catholic guilt, and learning about sex the hard way (sometimes with the help of a €1.69 vibrator, a can of Coke and an air freshener). Grace and Justine unravel the impact of shame and stigma on sexual development as young women, get angry about labia-shaming, and tackle listener dilemmas about sex toys, body image, nasty comments from sexual partners and reclaiming sexual pleasure. Justine didn't just bring lots of laughter to this chat (which had Grace reaching for her inhaler at one point) but also very generously got vulnerable and shared some of her own tricky experiences. This episode serves to remind us that there’s no such thing as “normal” and that pleasure and exploration belong to everyone—no matter if you grew up in a city or in the shticks!
