I recently realised that some of my deepest friendships today are the ones I made back in secondary school and university. You know those people you may not see for years, but once you link up, it’s like no time has passed. You talk for hours and laugh endlessly, and they’ve seen so many versions of you that there is no need to pretend. It got me thinking, why is it so hard to build those kinds of deep, safe friendships after school? I invited two amazing people, Kim and Chiamaka, who have been so intentional about friendship in adulthood. Their friendship is honestly something to admire. We all need people. We were made to do life together. But how do you find those people, those who share your values and truly get you? This episode will open your eyes to a lot. You will see that adult friendships take intentionality, selflessness, and a heart that’s willing to show up for others. If you’ve ever struggled with friendship as an adult, this is one episode you should listen to (or watch).
