15 episodes

Frank Kelleher is one of the best-known Paediatric Osteopaths in Ireland. Over the last 20 years, Frank and his wife Rose have helped over 10,000 families with some of the most common issues that can challenge babies and children.

The Happy Baby Podcast is all about providing information for parents on the common issues that can affect their baby or child and more importantly, where to get help. Our access to healthcare has been negatively impacted in the last few years. Waiting lists are longer than ever for even the most basic services for children.

Our aim is to provide parents with good, practical, professional information to help them navigate their little one’s health needs more effectively.

Occupational Therapy

In this episode Frank is talking to Jess Kennedy from My OT and Me. Jess is a multi-award winning Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist whose research has been published in the Huffington Post & the Journal of Occupational Science. She has worked in a range of Paediatric clinics in both Ireland & Australia. Innovative and creative intervention is at the core of Jess's practice, ensuring that parents feel supported & children reach their potential.

Jess also provides online training to schools across Ireland and the UK where teachers and SNA's learn strategies that they can use in the classroom environment.

It this episode Frank and Jess delve into the world of Occupational Therapy and discuss how OT can help children with sensory processing issues, meltdowns and behaviour issues, the importance of messy play and pretend play and so much more. Jess also explains how her new online platform Gabadoo works and how it can help parents. OT has so many benefits for all children and I'm sure most parents will have something to take away from this episode.
