The Harmony of Stories
Wildflower on Tour

I love stories that come out of conversation because they hold so many things all at once – memories, emotions, lessons, new perspectives, comic relief and so much more. They have the power to move us, to open our hearts, to connect us, to heal us. Stories offer a window into another person’s universe, and I get to see what it’s like to experience life from their eyes. They are an invitation to celebrate what makes us unique and what makes us the same. Join me as I sit down to chat with the remarkable people I meet during my travels throughout the USA.

Episode 6 - Jen in Woollum, Kentucky | Dog Rescue, Animal Shelters, Life in KY, Taking the Hard Road

In this episode, I chat with my friend and neighbor Jen. Jen has a big heart for dogs! She works at the animal shelter in Corbin, KY and has been very active and involved in the dog rescue efforts in this area. She shares many stories about helping dogs without a home, about her cross-country travels as a young child, her life as a young mother, and memories of her Grandma. We also talked about the socio-cultural differences between the northern and southern states, patience and kindness, taking the hard road, her and her husband's plans for their land here in KY, and much more!

Later today, I'll be posting photos of Jen's home in the holler, as well as of the sweet dogs she's crossed paths with, at https://wildflower.cloud/category/journal/.

Our song of the week is "Starting Over" by Chris Stapleton. You can search for it on Spotify or your favorite music player. On YouTube it's at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3svABDnmio
