Putting the Human back into Humanitarian Work
“Fight, Flight, Freeze, Fix Fake”
Dimple Dhabalia is the Founder of Roots in the Clouds, and a Leadership, Mindfulness, and Well-Being Coach with a 20-year history of doing humanitarian work - or what she refers to as high human impact (HHI) work. HHI work is that which seeks to improve the lives of others and alleviate suffering in the world.

Those that work within this specific profession not only contend with the uncertainty, ambiguity, and complexity of daily life, but also face unique occupational stressors like compassion fatigue, burnout, and organizational trauma, which have become the norm within HHI organizations across various sectors over the past couple of decades.

Putting the “human” back into humanitarian work, Dimple supports leaders and organizations across High Human Impact (HHI) sectors design human-centered workplace cultures where head, heart, and metrics work together to create nimble organizations that can thrive and grow even in the midst of uncertainty and challenge, and where empathy and social connection are at the heart the employee experience.
