Family Therapy (Part 2)

In a childhood marked by the absence of parents, a small act — someone tucking you in at night — can make the darkness feel less lonely. That image has stayed with Lucy Lee, a Registered Family and Systemic Psychotherapist, ever since she graduated from the University of Hong Kong and began working in children’s homes as a Social Worker. She came to believe that to heal a child’s heart, one must first heal their family. After earning her family therapy qualifications in the UK, Lucy gave up promising opportunities during the pandemic to return to Hong Kong with her husband and child — answering her calling to bring the spirit of family therapy home. She believes seeking help takes courage — and hopes to promote an accreditation system where both those seeking and offering help are truly supported.
