This is a conversational podcast about everything and anything to do with the housing industry. From home building and interior design to the legislation and economics behind the housing industry, Southern Utah Home Builders Association (SUHBA) and its association members are the experts in it all. SUHBA is a nonprofit legal entity for public and social benefit — NOT an entity that operates as a business aiming to generate a profit for its owners. SUHBA is #29 in the nation and the largest Home Builders Association in the state of Utah making it a thought leader in the housing industry.

Today's episode of The Housing Advocate features a keynote presentation from the Utah Building Industry Conference this past October. Amy Haas, the Executive Director of the Colorado River Authority of Utah, steps to the podium to give an overview of the Colorado River and its importance to Utah and the other states with access to its basins. She outlines the historical legislation that has governed the use of the river and future water rights negotiations that could impact Southern Utah.
