Oriana's writing was inspired by the poem we read in class, Joy Chose You by Donna Ashworth. Paradoxically, although the narrative itself explores sadness and the fleeting nature of joy, we also talk about how fun and cathartic it is to express ourselves on paper, especially when we're processing emotions.
