My guest today is Andy Semotiuk, a remarkable figure whose career bridges law, journalism, and humanitarian leadership.
Andy is both a U.S. and Canadian immigration lawyer, having practiced in Los Angeles and New York, and has helped over 10,000 clients navigate complex legal challenges.
He’s also a former United Nations correspondent and for the past decade has been a Forbes columnist, where his articles on immigration and human rights have reached over one million readers.
Beyond the courtroom, Andy has served as President of the Canada-Ukraine Foundation, Director at Pace Law Firm, and Tribunal Member at the Canadian Human Rights Commission.
He’s also a Distinguished Toastmaster, a title held by less than one percent of members worldwide, and an accomplished author of five books, including The Young Professional, a guide for new graduates entering the real world.
Today, we’ll explore Andy’s fascinating journey — from advocating for multiculturalism in Canada’s Charter of Rights, to shaping conversations on immigration and human rights around the globe.
