The Journey: A Guild Wars 2 Podcast
Winkari

Welcome, traveler. My name is Winkari, and I originally played Guild Wars and its expansions, as well as Guild Wars 2 at launch, up until halfway through the Path of Fire expansion. As a forty-something guy, I returned to the game at the end of 2025, rolling a new character, ready to begin anew! This podcast will chronicle that journey… Tyria provides an escape from my everyday life. I’m happily married and have two wonderful daughters, but still savor the moments I get to log in and be transported to another place. A magical place. A place that lets me be and do what I can’t in the real world. I love questing through zones, getting lost in the story, and being met with little “surprises” as I explore the living world around me, always thinking to myself, ”Am I the only one that feels this way?” The Journey is my way of sharing these moments with others who play the game the same way — casually, curiously, and with an appreciation for the details. If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.
