She worked hard to get scholarships for her A.A. in English, B.S in Human Nutrition-Dietetics, and Cycle Fusion teacher certification. Her passion for community, health and supporting the vulnerable led her to a local food recovery nonprofit "We Don't Waste", then to event planning for nonprofit fundraisers and festivals. With nearly a decade of yoga practice and a certificate to lead Temple Style Taoist Meditation, she is steeped in a mindfulness that permeates all aspects of life.
