Episode 16: Can Black Men Breathe? Feat: Dr. April Bee
Thank you for tuning back in with TLAR! We are excited to bring you another powerful episode. Today we are discussing the seemingly taboo topic of black men’s emotions. This episode we are joined by Dr. April Bee. Dr. Bee is a Wellness and Strengths Coach, Writer, Transformational Speaker, and Photographer, as well as a Doctor of Social Work. Dr. Bee has interests in criminal justice, mental health, advocacy for the black community, and educating youth. Dr. Bee is the Founder and CEO of RAW Honey Wellness and Coaching, LLC, which uses artistic expression and therapy to liberate people from social norms and create wellness in communities. She is currently the Creative Director of the Breathe Project, a platform that provides expression and context to the experiences of black men in hopes of liberating them from the expectations of social and cultural norms, and to invite Black Men into cultivating their greatest quality of life.
