Etiquette & the New Hollywood with Author Ellen Easton
New Podcast: Etiquette, Hollywood and Ellen Easton
We start off season two of our podcast with one of our favorite and most popular guests-the renowned author, bon-vivant, tea and etiquette authority and consultant Ellen Easton. What a fun and fascinating program!
We turn to our guru Ellen to look at the etiquette and style in Hollywood during and after the pandemic
With the granddaddy of awards programs awaits us on Sunday, April 25th, many believe it will devolve into the obscene mix of Grammy Awards or the sloppiness of The Golden Globes where some award winners accepted their prize looking like they had Gabby Hayes as their stylist.
Fortunately, the Oscar show producers Steven Soderbergh, Stacey Sher and Jesse Collins have sent a letter to all nominees saying there will be virtual or Zoom acceptance – you must attend and that there WILL be a dress code.
The producers also offer tips on dress code, saying the usual formal look is fine but please don’t go “casual.” In other words, no Jason Sudeikis hoodies, please. “We’re aiming for a fusion of Inspirational and Aspirational, which in actual words means formal is totally cool if you want to go there, but casual is really not,” the letter says.
Today’s program is a fascinating mix of thoughts, commentary and the great stories that only a raconteur like Ellen can tell with panache
