Today’s guest is Joe Wakefield, an award-winning mountain bike and events photographer based in Squamish, British Columbia. Originally from England, Joe moved to the Sea to Sky to immerse himself in the world of action sports and found a deep sense of belonging through mountain biking and the communities that live it.
Joe’s work focuses on documenting MTB culture from the inside — the atmosphere, the effort, the landscapes, the riders, and the stories behind it all. From grassroots jams and local dig crews to world-class freeride competitions, his photography captures the authenticity and energy that define the scene.
