06 - Arabic language in the modern world with Ola Khseirouf from Alef Yaa Content Solutions
Our 6th episode is on the Arabic language. I was lucky enough to grab some time with Ola from agency Alef Yaa to talk about a subject that is very close to my heart. Ola, originally from Syria has been in the region for many years, starting out as a freelance captions writer for TV, and then went on to found her agency, Alef Yaa, who has worked for global and local brands.
Ola talks about common Arabic dialects, arabisation and translation, creating modern Arabic for all audiences and her passion for the Arabic language, which started when she was a little girl reading mainstream magazines from the UK.
I got to find out about visco girls, arabeezee and white arabic, yeah I didnt know what all those were either. :)
