📸🧑‍🏫 Mature Medic Platform Spotlights: Season 3, Episode 2 🧑‍🏫 Our second episode is with the lovely Mahdiyyah! Her answer to Maggie's question of, "If you could read any book again for the first time, what book would you choose?" was Einstein's Dreams by Alan Lightman, exploring concepts of time and imagining many different possible worlds - I have already bought my copy! Mahdiyyah first applied to medicine during 6th form, but at that time studied for a BSc in Neuroscience at Queen Mary University of London, where she received a prize for the highest grade in her cohort for two consecutive years. Mahdiyyah applied for medicine again during her final year, completing all three entrance exams, and securing a place at KCL on their undergraduate course where she is now in her final year. We chat about being grounded in yourself and your own achievements when often being reduced to a number in a system, creativity in medicine and the challenge of maintaining balance when having a lot of interests and passions!
