The Mazungumzo a.k.a. The Conversation explores intergenerational blackness from a bicultural lens. As Tanzanian Americans raised in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts, blackness was always a complex equation, and still is. Throughout this journey, we are two sisters affirmed in the belief that the Black experience is both collective and interconnected—merely existing in different timezones. This podcast is a virtual experiment meant to unravel a spirit of inquiry around unity, empathy, and the New Great Migration.
