Dr Claire & Caroline talk to Dr Katy Munro a Headache Specialist GP at the National Migraine Centre and author of Managing Your Migraine, part of the Penguin Life Expert Series
Dr Katy was a GP partner in Potters Bar for 25 years and during this time, started having migraine attacks herself which sparked her interest in finding ways of helping people with migraine. When she left the practice, she started working as a Headache Specialist GP at the National Migraine Centre, a charity which provides consultations to people with migraine on a voluntary donation basis. She also hosts the Heads Up podcast which was a finalist in the Medical Journalists Awards for Podcast of the Year, last year.
Her book Managing Your Migraine is part of the Penguin Life Expert Series and is aimed at empowering people with migraine to manage their condition better through understanding what is going on.
She is also member of the British Association for the Study of Headache (BASH) and is on their Council. She co-organises their GPwSI monthly educational webinars.
