A bit of feedback from our earlier episode re TV Heartthrobs. One of our listeners, Tanya, mentioned Phelpsy. The curly haired cutie from Water Rats 😍 This reminded Mez of her discovery of Mitch from Baywatch cira 1992 - he was a bit of alright, she recently realised.
Fonz has also made a discovery this week, about how a smile can go a long way. From an anxious checkout line at Costco, to a walk in the neighbourhood, it’s funny how a smile can change the whole mood of the situation.
Our first segment this week is ‘Midlifer Moment: turning into your parents.’ We’re talking about the moment we either said or did something, and as soon as it happened, we had a flashback to our parents saying or doing the exact same thing. From age old sayings to the dad sneezes that blow the house down, we dive into this metamorphosis.
If we said, ‘Romper, bomper, stomper boo….’ would warm, fuzzy memories come flooding back? We hope so, because today we are bringing you the gloriousness of ‘Romper Room’. The songs, the segments, the odd memories we have about this beautiful show that shaped every Aussie child of the 80’s.
It’s a bit of nostalgia, a lot of laughs, and spending time with two besties who obviously have nothing better to do.
