part -1
Edmund told everyone in the family to lay down. They laid still on the floor… listen on to know what happened.
Hi, I am Kaushik, and we deep dive into the minds of people travelling across india. This is a short story featuring Patrick Edmund Roosevelt- a.k.a. ‘the miracle man’, a.k.a. ‘Rio’ -for the sole purpose of art integration.
I am with my co host , Alsala Ahmed
hi this is Alsala today we are here to entertain with a three part series of the miracle man .
Today we will discuss how Patrick aka Rio had his childhood trips with his family (and his violent behaviour).
next time we will cover his career as a man for the change , about how he struggled to adjust into society and a change that would change his life forever.
We have got all that and more coming up, so stay with us
With monsoon approaching, it was freezing.A cold morning, with the pour of ice flowers from heaven .The weather is fulfilling. Meanwhile, the voice of the maid to get ready to school reaches the ears of Rio. He starts buttering up his Father, Edmund Roosevelt, to skip the school using the excuse of the chilling weather, but Edmund refuses and makes Rio wear his boots and white fur snowbelle jacket in a strange manner. While travelling to school, Rio had also got the opportunity to heat up with armed soldiers! (as it was a strike by the Green Pandiths).
The trip to school was a checkpoint of 3 levels.
The First one was Rio’s favourite: the checkpoint where soldiers from the battalion- full of patriotism and heroism- would interact with Rio. They would get playful with Rio, trying to intimidate him with their guns; But Rio was not a boy of weak heart-he would never cry. And those soldiers liked this character of his. This interaction with the soldiers gave Rio an incentive to face difficulties with boldness. It also made him want to salute the warriors- both for their kind, as well as strong heart.
The second checkpoint was The Officer’s Colony. Here, Rio would be met by officers and their wives- all of whom adored Rio for his cute, circular face. Rio, they said, could speak Kashmiri and Hindi more fluently than even the local Green Pandits.
The third checkpoint was the scary pathway directly leading to school, with an army of cotton trees giving a promising shade to all those who walked the path to Education.
In the school time, he did sing the national anthem and others kashmiri songs with full patriotism, getting into petty fights with students, play the sports with joy and passion. But his academic performances were alarmingly poor.
The same day an incident took place that would change his life forever. It was ptm but not general it was the final results of class 2 .everyone was glaring at the door looking for parents to arrive but patrick was in his own mood just bullying other boys . everyone’s
