This is not a coffee podcast, at least not in the traditional sense, but in this show, we explore the lives and passions of people from all walks of life around the world who have nailed their niche, and how they integrate the love of coffee into their lifestyle. The Nomad Barista started as a project to uncover the stories, inspirations, and challenges of passionate coffee professionals all over the globe, and I'm now expanding from the blog and Youtube channel to share conversations through long-form podcast content!

002 Lucía Solis – Coffee Processing Specialist: From Wine to Coffee, Explaining “Anaerobic Fermentation”, Moving to Colombia

Lucia Solis (@lluciasolis) is a coffee processing specialist, and this episode includes two separate conversations in one. The first was back in October 2020 from our own homes, and the second one kind of as a follow up later in April 2022 when I visited her and her husband, Nick, on the coffee farm in Colombia.

Lucia has been working specifically with coffee for many years now, but actually comes from a wine background, studying Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis in California, and later training as a winemaker in Napa Valley. She now has a podcast called Making Coffee with Lucia Solis, and hosts Fermentation Training Camps around the world.

Lucia can be found at www.luxia.coffee

To support this podcast, check out our sponsor Wacaco and their range of portable coffee brewing gear from espresso to filter. I’ve been personally using their equipment for years, on all my travels, and I appreciate having them along for the adventure.
