This is not a coffee podcast, at least not in the traditional sense, but in this show, we explore the lives and passions of people from all walks of life around the world who have nailed their niche, and how they integrate the love of coffee into their lifestyle. The Nomad Barista started as a project to uncover the stories, inspirations, and challenges of passionate coffee professionals all over the globe, and I'm now expanding from the blog and Youtube channel to share conversations through long-form podcast content!

012 Yassir Raïs – Syra Coffee: From 1 to 43 Coffee Shops and Counting. Architecture, Design, and Making Specialty Coffee Accessible

Yassir Rais is the founder of Syra Coffee in Barcelona. He shares his story discovering specialty coffee while studying architecture in Paris, and how that led to later starting a coffee business in his home town of Barcelona.

Syra has now scaled up to 43 coffee-to-go locations across Spain without franchising in the cities Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, San Sebastián, Sevilla, Girona, and Malaga.
