La mentalità di Alberto Di Folco sembra dettare il ritmo di un inno alla perseveranza. Noi di The Pass lo abbiamo incontrato all’Autodromo Nazionale Monza in occasione dell’ACI Racing Weekend, evento al quale Alberto era presente per competere nel quarto e ultimo round del Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo Endurance con il team Vincenzo Sospiri Racing. Nel corso della nostra Track Talk, Alberto ha raccontato il percorso che gli ha insegnato a gestire le emozioni sia in pista sia nella vita quotidiana, spiegandoci il ruolo ricoperto dalle arti marziali e dallo yoga nella sua crescita come pilota e come persona.
Il romano classe 1996 capisce di avere la velocità nel sangue quando all’età di cinque anni, seduto in macchina, chiede a papà Alberto di accelerare. È solo il primo dei tanti stimoli che lo portano a sedersi su un go-kart per innamorarsi definitivamente delle corse e diventarne rapidamente un protagonista insieme ad altri giovani talenti quali Charles Leclerc, Alex Albon, George Russell e Max Verstappen. Il teenager che attira l’attenzione della Ferrari Driver Academy e prova persino una Lamborghini Gallardo a soli 15 anni si trasforma gradualmente nell’adulto in grado di entrare nel programma Young Driver della casa di Sant’Agata Bolognese per poi aggiudicarsi diversi successi nelle competizioni GT, tra cui la vittoria del Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europa nella categoria PRO-AM. Vedendo nel motorsport il suo psicologo, impara a credere sempre nei propri sogni, a fare amicizia con la pressione e a convivere con la sensibilità di cui Alberto ci ha parlato.
Attualmente impegnato in veste di pilota, istruttore ufficiale Lamborghini e brand ambassador di Lamborghini Genève e RaceX così come con Too Fast Management, Alberto dimostra che non si finisce mai di conoscere sé stessi e che è importante ricordarsi sempre da dove si è partiti.

Alberto Di Folco’s mentality seems to set the rhythm of a hymn to perseverance.
