The Peaky Podcast - Episode 5: An interview with Darragh O Keeffe.
This weeks episode of The Peaky Podcast is a very special episode indeed. Many of you who follow the racing will have heard the name Darragh O Keeffe mentioned sometime over the past couple of years. At just 20 years of age, Darragh has gone from being you're everyday young lad relatively unknown to anyone outside of the racing world to being JP McManus's second choice jockey with all due respect behind Mark Walsh, had the season of his life last year getting to 4th in the National Jockeys leaderboard last year with only the likes of Paul Townend, Davy Russell and Rachael Blackmore ahead of him. For a 19 year old in any profession to be one of the best in the game on a national level is remarkable. A young man that gives off the impression of a quiet, conservative character when out of the saddle when he has a horse under him he has confidence in spades and rides with patience, guile and bravery. It was an absolute pleasure to have someone as well regarded as Darragh on the show considering I have only been doing the media side of things for 3 months while I am only recording, producing and publishing podcasts for just over a month. I hope you all enjoy the episode as much as I had recording it.
I want to give my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Liam Treadwell who sadly lost his battle with depression earlier this week. I am putting myself forward to be there for people who need someone to talk to. I am not qualified but I have experience of dark patches in lifes journey and will be happy to help others who seek the help that is out there but dont know where to look for it or who to put their trust in. The service will be completely confidential and stay between us. You can contact me through the social media below.

If nothing else comes of this I would take huge joy and satisfaction in helping someone in times they need it most and hopefully getting them to see the light at the end of the tunnel instead of sadly losing another life. Thanks again. If you could be so kind to keep sharing the podcast and subscribing on you're preferred platform. It is the one thing that helps me out most.
