Seamus O’Mahony is the author of two books: The Way We Die Now (2016) and Can Medicine be Cured? (2019). He retired from his post as a gastroenterologist at Cork University Hospital in February 2020, but may return as a volunteer. He is a visiting professor at the Centre for the Humanities and Health at King’s College London. His latest book will be out in March titled The Ministry of Bodies: Life and Death in a Modern Hospital.
