What makes life beautiful? The answer is, its impermanence. Yet, we tend to waste time like it’s nothing. We harbor resentment towards others. We fight and bicker about the most mundane things. Think about it: every second that ticks by is a second closer to the end of your life. That is reality. Marcus Aurelius often reminded himself of this truth, writing in Meditations : “You could leave life right now. Let that determine what you do, say, and think.”
