The Platform 052: Writers Rounds, Overcoming Rejection, Ready For New Music
On episode fifty-two of The Platform Podcast, I sat down with the talented young singer and song writer, Lauren Gottshall!
Originally from just outside of Chicago, Lauren grew up heavily influenced by her mother when it came to her music taste. She started writing songs, singing and performing before she was even ten and recently made the jump to Nashville to turn her dreams into a career.
Lauren and I met last year and I was happy to have her as a guest for the first episode back in a long time. We talked about her creative process when it comes to song writing, how working collaboratively with other artists for the first time brought a whole new perspective to her creatively with her music and how she learned to handle rejections.
Lauren reflects on her first writers round and talks about the importance of them not only to the city of Nashville but to artists and their careers.
Lastly, she says who she wants to "Put On A Platform."
