The clay is so welcoming and soft yet when shaper and dried it becomes less primordial, more mortal. He worked as a human medical test subject during a year of mania, eventually using the study money to buy an apartment and a hundred-dollar car. Soon after, he took a position as weekend manager of a group home, despite being unable to make eye contact during the interview. Out of this experience, he wrote a series of poems about the elderly residents with schizophrenia, which went on to appear in several issues of Grand Street magazine. His work has been described by critic Susan M. Schultz as “documentary surrealism.”📝 "Why So Many MIT Students Are Writing Poetry" by Joshua Bennetthttps://www.theatlantic.com/books/archive/2025/08/what-mit-students-are-learning-poetry/683856/https://ca.news.yahoo.com/why-many-mit-students-writing-130000314.html🎯 FOLLOW FOR MORE:👉 Linktree: https://linktr.ee/nathanhassall📸 Nathan's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nathanhassallpoetry/🌀 The Poetry Vessel Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thepoetryvessel📧 Business inquiries: thepoetryvessel@gmail.com🎥 THE FILM GEAR WE USE: https://shorturl.at/j9MTW🙏 ONLINE TIP JAR: https://www.nathanhassall.com/support-our-journey —FTC DISCLAIMER:Some of the links above may be affiliate links, which means that if you click on them I may receive a small commission.
