You are responsible for your actions, and you can take responsibility of your thoughts, but I don't believe that we are always the conscious creators of our thoughts. While intrusive thoughts can be serious in the sense that they are communicating you have needs desperate to be met and may need more sleep and/or support, I don't believe that a scary thought makes you a bad person.
